Athletes Achieving and Advancing Inc. (AAA)
is a not-for-profit organization.
Our Mission is to create BRIDGES TO CLOSE THE GAPS that exist for those student athletes, whose only barriers are finances, awareness of and access to advancement opportunities. AAA is focused on providing productive guidance, positive role modelling, and increasing student athlete goal success actualization. Additionally, Athletes Achieving and Advancing Inc. is dedicated to creating employment and leadership positions and opportunities, within the business and sport aspect of the basketball industry, for female leaders.
Success is a mandatory element of athletic advancement. Academic excellence is the foundation, on which athletic elevation is built. Many athletes are unaware of the mandatory academic performance required, for athletes to proceed to post-secondary athletic pursuits. Athletes Achieving and Advancing Inc. champions and delivers the sharing of this knowledge with student athletes, to support the achievement of student athlete goals and desires.
Skill development is a key factor in setting oneself apart from others, who are genetically capable of athletic performances. Additionally, grit, determination and heart create the presence of confidence and dominance; the union of the noted generates a mastery that can be relied upon, when the time to perform presents itself. Superiority, brilliance and distinction is yielded when mentors reach back to give back, Athletes Achieving and Advancing highlights and celebrates skill development and those who support those up next, with achieving advancement and aplification!
Every single day women break glass ceilings, achieve beyond expectations, overcome challenges, breakthrough barriers, conquer despite sometimes facing discouragement and earn their way into arenas that were not designed, keeping us in mind, then dominate in those very arenas. Athletes Achieving and Advancing Inc. works to celebrate the poetic triumphant essence that is women and works to contribute, to the increase of opportunities, for female leaders.
The trajectory shifting, game of basketball, is rapidly evolving and becoming more inclusive in practice, principal, respect and acknowledgement of excellence.
Among all of the progressive advancements, within the game of basketball, Sherrese Carby's name is interwoven, within the fabric of basketball's historic leaps. Carby fulfilled her second year, as the First Female, Ontario Scholastic Basketball Association-OSBA Men's Basketball Coaching Staff, during the 2023/2024 OSBA Basketball Season.
Head Coach, Gus Gymnopoulos, and the Hodan Nalayeh Secondary School Men's Basketball team and staff, first welcomed Carby to the team, during the 2022/2023 OSBA Prep Basketball Season.
